Looking for anyone who might have knowledge of his father, 1st Lt. Norris E. (Eddie) Mayes who was killed in the Battle of the Huertgen Forest, somewhere near the village of Vossenack, germany during the time period of Dec 11 - Dec 21, 19944.
Lt. Mayes was assigned, as a replacement, to Company C, 28th Infantry Regiment, 8th Division, 1st Army. He shipped out from the states around Thanksgiving day, 1994.

- Joe Lettera is anxious to contact anyone who served with or knew his brother, 1LT Alfred Lettera. LT Lettera was the Battalion Supply Officer for the 3rd Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment. He was killed in Germany on April 12, 1945. An individual named Ken Fegley wrote a letter to Mrs. Lettera after her son's death. Another soldier named Sullivan was also apparently on the scene.
